The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the oldest and largest marketing association in the world. It has over 35,000 members. It has over 300 collegiate chapters world-wide and over 75 professional chapters across the United States and Canada. When you graduate, the marketing organization you will want to belong to is the American Marketing Association. It make sense that as a student, this is the marketing organization that you should join. When you graduate as a collegiate AMA member, you will be able to easily join at a reduced cost a professional AMA chapter wherever you are located.

The American Marketing Association (AMA) gives students an opportunity to apply the principles and concepts they have learned in the classroom. In this way the organization provides a "laboratory" where students can get "hands-on" experience in their interest area. In addition to academic skills being learned, the organization also gives the students an opportunity to learn skills such as interpersonal communication, leadership, time-management, public speaking, motivation, and delegation.

Another benefit of AMA membership is contact and exposure to many companies. AMA provides speakers, tours, and panel discussions  to bring experience to students. Finally, the chapter provides a social setting for friendships to be formed and fun to be had.

I can think of no better collegiate organization for students who have an interest in marketing to join.
